About

I am an artist concerned with the cultural restrictions placed on women within domestic spaces and the ongoing limitations that persist beyond the home. Inspired by the Me-Too movement, the erosion of Roe v. Wade, and the nineteenth-century material feminists, my artwork explores the complexities and pressures of everyday life. By deconstructing and up-cycling past and present paintings and drawings, I sew them back together to create fresh narratives that engage with my own history and current frustrations.

My studio practice often begins with small daily paintings of simple objects. This process ignites my passion for storytelling, which drives the narrative depth in my mixed-media works.

I hold degrees from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and the University of Wyoming. For many years, I have taught and developed art-related coursework at several colleges and universities, including innovation and creativity courses at the University of Florida. My work has been exhibited throughout the United States and is held in numerous private and public collections worldwide.
